Rumours have been circulating for a while regarding a brand new love interest for Sam in Supernatural’s upcoming eight (yes, eighth!) season, and now we have a face to put to the character. Liana Balaban is set to play Amelia, who will win the younger Winchester’s heart in future episodes.
Though we’re not holding out much hope for her survival, considering what happened to all the others who attempted to tame the brothers into domesticity, but her character will apparently being going through some transition, “having a hard time moving on from a tragedy in her past.”
Boding well for her integration into the traditionally ‘boys only’ CW show, she’s also “brave, sweet and sarcastic.” Let’s hope she’s more than a match for Dean, who doesn’t usually react well to his brother’s romantic endeavours. [EW]
