Devon Sawa, otherwise best known for Final Destination, has been promoted to series regular for CW Nikita’s upcoming third season, upgraded from his recurring role as Owen Elliot. Showrunner Craig Silverstein said of the move:
“We are very happy about the return of Owen, and looking forward to the excitement he will bring to an already exciting cast.” The actor had already revealed how keen he was to reprise his role, calling his time on the show “so much fun.”
Owen Elliot has become a fan favourite over the years, since he started appearing sporadically early on. Noah Bean’s character, Ryan Fletcher, has also been bumped up to series regular since the end of season two.
