Revolution | Rachel Matheson out, Lost’s Elizabeth Mitchell in for J.J. Abrams’ new sci-fi

Though it’s due to start on September 17th, there’s been a last-minute shake-up for the cast of J.J. Abrams new show, Revolution. Rachel Matheson, who played “a terrified mother of two children” in the original pilot, has been replaced by Elizabeth Mitchell, best known for playing Juliet on Lost.

We’re excited to see what the new show, set in a post-apocalyptic world where technology has stopped working, can offer us, and Mitchell’s been floating from show to show for a while now. Even though we loved Juliet, we didn’t rate the remake of V, and she’s in need of a hit.

On the other hand, this has the potential to be another Falling Skies, and bore us to death. The series, to show on NBC, also stars Billy Burke and Giancarlo Espositio, and will be directed by Jon Favreau (ooo, fancy). [Digital Spy]
